The startups aim to enable a more sustainable supply chain through the incorporation of environmentally friendly technology. GreenLine Partners with Flipkart with a plan. This plan involves integrating LNG-powered trucks in fleets, alongside the 10,000 EVs the firm already possesses. The goal is to cut down on emissions from e-commerce deliveries.

A Commitment to Sustainability

Under this cooperation, GreenLine will first use 25 LNG-driven trucks during the first instance. Every truck will be fitted with 46-foot containers providing a volume of 110 cubic metres for transporting goods. These trucks will transport both B2B and B2C goods.

These trucks will operate mainly along the route from western India to the northern region. Later, they will expand to open routes along the north-to-south and west-to-south axes. This supports Flipkart’s broader sustainability approach, aiming for a lower carbon impact.

Flipkart also aims to use cleaner means of transportation in its supply chain. Late last month, Flipkart achieved having 10,000 electric vehicles in its delivery network. The addition of LNG trucks aligns with its efforts to reduce carbon emissions in logistics operations.
