India is leading nowadays in terms of innovation. GalaxEye is a rising Indian spacetech startup. GalaxEye has closed $10 Million Funding to Drive Satellite Data Innovation. This funding will help GalaxEye advance its satellite technology for Earth observation. 

MountTech Growth Fund, Kavachh, a key tech-focused fund in India, led the funding round. The strong backing highlights the growing support for satellite innovations in the country. Reports  show a sharp rise in global demand for satellite data, proving how timely this investment is for GalaxEye.

Innovating Earth Observation with Multi-Sensor Satellites

A team of 5 friends founded the startup in 2021. The startup is developing a multi-sensor satellite that aims to capture clear images in any weather. This technology is different from standard satellites. It combines multiple sensors to provide precise data for industries such as defense, agriculture, and insurance. These sectors rely on accurate, timely information, which GalaxEye’s technology promises to deliver.

The lead investor, MountTech Growth Fund – Kavachh, supports critical tech projects in India. Its Founder Chairman, Ajay Kumar, is a former Union Defence Secretary, emphasizing the fund’s focus on national security. 

Other investors in this round include Mela Ventures, Speciale Invest, and Infosys, all showing strong confidence in GalaxEye’s mission.

Pushing Forward with a 2025 Satellite Mission

GalaxEye plans to use the funds to speed up the development of its satellite mission, with a target launch in 2025. This mission marks a key step toward its long-term vision. By 2027, GalaxEye aims to launch a fleet of satellites. 

This network will serve both government and private clients, offering real-time, accurate data for critical fields like defense, disaster response, and environmental monitoring.

Providing High-Resolution Data Across Many Industries

The advanced multi-sensor satellite is expected to benefit industries across the world. GalaxEye’s unique combination of Optical MSI and SAR sensors allows it to produce highly detailed images. 

In agriculture, this helps monitor crop health closely. In maritime, the data can support safe and secure shipping. By using both sensors together, GalaxEye’s satellite can offer valuable insights across different conditions.
